  • "Multimedia content for the web is critical as we address different learning
styles and customer preferences. Open source tools and affordable equipment
mean that capturing, editing and polishing audio content in a professional
manner is within the reach of most web developers and small businesses.
Andrew has a degree in audio engineering and has worked extensively with
audio for the web. We are delighted to have him work with us."
    - Jen McKibben Kramer (MSIT Program Director)

  • Andrew Dolph UNH Special Events Coordinator of Audiovisual Services will be presenting this hands on workshop providing an introduction to recording, editing and preparing audio for use on the web in a variety of contexts.

If you are bringing your own laptop to work on you should download this program prior to the event http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

A large part of the class will be driven by your questions, interests and projects.

Note - you should bring some headphones for audio work. If you do not have any, we can provide them. "Headsets included" - (which you will keep) - will bring your total course fee to $70

“These go to eleven…”
 Nigel Tufnell

With what is happening in technology right now, anyone can make music.  Let your imagination be your only boundary by using everyday sounds to create audio files.  Upload them to your computer and the web.  Record your child’s voice, your breakfast cereal, a thunderstorm…whatever.  We’ll chop these up and re-mix them to create entirely new audio experiences out of them.  Please bring a CD or removable storage media if you would like to save your work.
